From a duo who started in a garden shed, Novello has come a long way since 2019. RICS regulated, with national coverage, and we train our own surveyors because we want them to be their best, not just qualified.

What happens after you register

What happens during the application

    Register your interest. It takes about two minutes, and your personal dashboard is created and ready to use at the same time.

  2. 2

    Our team reads every application, and we reply to every applicant personally.

  3. 3

    Depending on where you are in your Sava journey, you are either invited to take the Pathway Questionnaire, or welcomed into the Learners Community until you reach 70% of your qualification.

  4. 4

    A screening call, then a shadow day with one of our regional mentors. If you are successful, you receive a conditional offer to join Novello as a Graduate Surveyor and your place in the Novello Academy.

Two ways in

A place is offered; hard work is rewarded

The free Learners Community

Open to anyone, any stage

Simple: register, and you are in. You get training modules mapped to the Sava syllabus, mock tests, CPD tracking and a community of students in the same boat as you. There are no costs and no catch. As soon as you are 70% through your Sava qualification, the Pathway Questionnaire opens and you can apply for a place in the Novello Academy.

Best for: anyone enrolled in Sava, from day one to 70% completion.

The enrolled programme

70% or more, subject to space

Pathway, Academy and Accelerator: these three stages are the starting point for your career at Novello. Each runs alongside a regional mentor, with live supervised inspections as you build confidence. Successful students are then offered a conditional job with Novello. Places follow a questionnaire, a screening call and a shadow day with a regional mentor.

Best for: Sava students 70% or more of the way through their qualification, subject to space.

Every applicant starts in the community. The journey is what you make of it.

These are two separate offers, and only one of them is competitive. Both are free to use, with the training open to all, unconditional, and yours to keep forever. If you are unsuccessful, or you decide Novello is not for you, the hub, the modules, the mock tests and your CPD record all stay in your personal dashboard. Nothing is ever withdrawn, and nothing is held back behind applying for the Novello Academy.

    From your first shadowed inspection to your first solo survey, you are out with a mentor on real Level 2 and Level 3 inspections, never just classroom exercises.

  • Dedicated mentorship

    Our regional mentors are with you every step of the way. They know their regions inside and out, and this is their chance to pass that knowledge on to the next generation of surveyors.

  • Admin support

    Admin is the heart and soul of the business, and every surveyor has their own regional admin team member. They handle bookings, instructions and client care, so you can stay focused on surveying.

  • Mock inspections

    Before you head out on live surveys of your own, you carry out mock inspections with your regional mentor. They teach you Novello's in-house reporting system and how we run our residential surveys.

  • Business development training

    Business development is a huge part of working with Novello, and our surveyors play a key role in it. You are never thrown in at the deep end: our business development team trains you on everything you need.

    Drones

    We use drone technology for closer, more accurate inspections of roofs and hard to reach areas. They are part of most inspections and give clients more information before they commit to a purchase.

    Moisture meters

    Moisture meters are key to finding damp levels in a building. As well as spotting hidden damp, they help surveyors identify other defects and explain what is likely to be causing the problem.

    In-house reporting system

    Novello is all about changing the game, and that includes building our own reporting software. We use it on every survey, and it is a core part of working as a surveyor here.

Being straight with you

The journey might not always be easy, but it will be worth it

Places are limited

Places in the Novello Academy are few and the application periods are short. Many people who register will stay within the community and will not join the Academy. There is always another chance to apply when the time is right for you.

It filters both ways

The shadowing day is the perfect opportunity to see a live survey as it really is, rain or shine. It gives you the chance to decide whether surveying with Novello is right for you, and our regional mentors are open to all applicant feedback.

The training is always yours

Whether you receive a conditional job offer or not, your personal dashboard is yours to keep, including all modules, mock tests, and your regional mentor and CPD records. You are always welcome to apply again when your circumstances or studies change.
